There are a few things you need before you can decorate your tree.
The first one is a stand. You can get lots of different types of stands and most garden centres and larger supermarkets will sell these in the run up to Christmas. The main thing is to make sure your tree will fit your stand, and that the stand will also hold enough water to keep your tree hydrated.
One of the most common reasons why people don’t want a real tree inside is because of the mess they can make when needles fall from the tree. Obviously, because these trees are real, some needles may drop from time to time, but the good thing about our trees is that they have low drop needles which means they make nowhere near as much mess as other types of Christmas Tree. As long as your tree has plenty of water, it will not drop lots of needles.
If you are putting your tree up somewhere that has underfloor heating, or is just quite a warm space, then it will need even more water. Trees can dry out quickly so it should never not have water. Also remember that Christmas Trees can be very flammable so take a few minutes to check that where you put your tree won't cause an unnecessary fire risk.
Once you’ve done all this, it’s time to get creative and decorate!
